Snowhite Julep 6cl Maker's Mark, 1 Vick's blue pastille, 2 dashes Orange Bitters, dashes simple syrup, Mint and Orange twist. Melt the Vick's blue pastille in the Maker's Mark. Muddle Mint and Orange twist on the bottom of the glass, fill in with crushed ice and stir. Garnish with mint sprigs sprinkled with powder sugar. |

Actually the recipes are from Maker's Mark Mint Julep Derby contest, we just used other Bourbons instead. Worth to try! I think Liz would love the Maxvorstadt Julep Maxvorstadt Julep 2cl Jim Beam Black, 10 Mint sprigs, 1 sprig of rosemary, 1cl simple syrup, 2 pinch of pepper rosé, 8 Strawberries. Shake the strawberries with bourbon and ice hard. Muddle the mint with rosemary and simple syrup in the bottom of the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice and add pepper. Strain the strawberries & bourbon into the glass and fill with ice. |
Burned Apple Julep 5cl Knob Creek Bourbon, 2cl Apple Jack, 1cl simple syrup, mint, 2 caramelized apple slices. Muddle the mint with Knob Creek and simple syrup on the bottom of the glass. Fill in to half with crushed ice and stir well. Add the crushed ice to the full of glass, bring in the apple slices and sprinkle with Apple Jack. |
